This class explores the idea of terroir. Terroir is that unique combination of soil, climate, topography, and human touch that gives a wine its distinct sense of place. The place where grapes are grown is the most important aspect of telling the wine’s story. Through guided tasting and discussion, we’ll examine how a grape can express itself differently depending on where and how it is grown. We hope this helps you come away with a deeper appreciation for why great wines are not manufactured, but grown.
